It`s Paradise! A small indigenous town on the
foot of the Auyan Tepuy. The secret of the Savannah, that
still does not know many tourists. Only 15 minutes of
flight from Canaima. You enjoy canyon, jumps and the
forest!
FIRST DAY:
We leave in the morning from Cd. Bolivar (You can fly from
Sta.Elena/Canaima/Porlamar also) to Kavac. The flight will
take about one and a half hours and offers you a spectacular
view of the Gran Sabana with its table mountains and
rainforest. We will fly over Auyantepuy, the table mountain
from which the highest waterfall on earth - Salto Angel -
drops about 979 m deep. Finally we land in the indian
village Kavac at the foot of Auyantepuy.
Walking for about half an hour we reach a
small creek in the forest. Walking or swimming upstream we
reach a 20 m high waterfall with a natural pool at the foot
of it. Here you can swim in refreshing clear water. Behind
we find the cave which despite its name is a deep gorge We
return to the camp where we have dinner and sleep in
hammocks (with mosquito nets) or tents.
SECOND DAY: After the breakfast we will raise
20 minutes the first small table of the Auyan Tepuy. We will
continue half an hour more and we will arrive at a natural
well and precipices with falls. We will rest awhile and we
will bathe. We will continue long walk by the forest and in
the end another ascent of 15 minutes to arrive at LA TOMA.
There a fabulous natural landscape was constructed, the
clear water and the sand they made a Natural Tobogán. We
will enjoy that place and we will take a light lunch
We will follow the long walk by 15
minutes more arriving at the fall CARA DE INDIDO ( FACE OF
THE INDIAN). A water fall of approx.50 meters which falls in
a well. This scenary invites us to take a bath. The person
who loves it, can climb with the indigenous guide behind the
falls, and within the falls. It is a wall of 3 meters. ˇAn
unforgettable experience!! In afternoon we will return to
the indigenous town. Flight back to Cd.Bolivar (Sta. Elena/Canaiam/Porlamar) |
