1st. Day Arrival to Tucupita or Puerto de Uracoa (time will be
arranged by both parts).
Departure on boat towards our ORINOCO DELTA LODGE base camp.
This is approximately a 1 ½ hours journey from Tucupita or 1
hour if the departure is from Puerto de Uracoa.
Accommodation in cabins with beds and private bathrooms.
Lunch time.
After lunch activities
Swim in the water channel in front of the camp or enjoy the
landscape by the river bank.
Rides on canoe where you will be able to observe the near by
indigenous communities, the flora and fauna.
Return to the Camp
Rides on boat to watch the spectacular Delta sunset and
Orinoco dolphins.
Return to the camp.
Dinner time 8 p.m.
2nd. Day
Very early in the morning one can observe from the cabins
(in front of the river) a splendid dawn, where the sun
changes into different tonalities in a few minutes. One can
also hear and observe a variety of birds and araguatos
monkeys by the camp surroundings.
Breakfast time 8 a.m.
After breakfast a boat journey to remote areas begins in
order to observe the flora and fauna besides visiting the
indigenous communities
Return to the camp for lunch
After lunch a walk into the jungle is made and you will be
provided of special boots for this purpose.
Return to Orinoco Delta Lodge is approx. at 6 o’clock.
Dinner time 8 p.m.
3rd. Day
Breakfast time 8 a.m.
Canoe ride by the camp surroundings.
Visit to the Waraos Children School sponsored by Tucupita
Expeditions.
Leaving the camp at 11:00 am.
