This excursion is one of the most
complete one of all, but it can only be done during raining
season, it is from May to the middle of November.
FIRST DAY: Departure from Santiago Mariño
Airport approximately at 8:00 a.m. During the flight a snack will be served,
and also you will have the opportunity to relax and enjoy
the landscape that is shown through the window. Arrival to the Cañon del Diablo (Devil’s
Canyon), passing by the Salto Angel (Angel’s Falls), the
world’s perennial highest waterfall. Once the waterfall is observed, the plane
will head towards Canaima. Arrival to the Canaima Airport. Once the visitors are in the airport they
will be taken to the Canaima Tours Camp, where they will be
able to change clothes and carry only what is necessary to
start the excursion.
The group of visitors will be taken for a
ride in “Curiara”, name that is given to this native
boat. During the journey through the Canaima
Lagoon a beautiful natural landscape is sighted and where
the Ucaima, Golondrina, Wadaima and Hacha waterfalls, the
reddish color of the water and the hydroelectric plant stand
out. Walk through the forest to watch a
variety of trees, flowers and birds. Arrival to the top of the Sapo Falls
where a panoramic view of the Tepuyes and savannas can be
appreciated. Walk through the inside of the majestic
Sapo Falls to observe its water fall. Walk by the forest until arriving to a
small river where you can enjoy a refreshing swim. Return to the camp to take a delicious
lunch.
After lunch, you will have the
opportunity to take some drinks at the terrace which has a
view of the Canaima Lagoon and also buy some of the
handcrafts and works made by the natives. Arrival to the airport and return to
Porlamar.
Observations: The trip includes the
flight over to the Angel Falls if the atmospheric conditions
allows it. The trips to CANAIMA and all those that
include this destination, include the flight over the Angel
Falls (if the atmospheric conditions allow it). All the trips include bilingual tour
guides. The ticket to the parks and airport taxes
are not included in the rates and they must be canceled
directly cash by the passenger (Bolivares).

SECOND DAY: Departure is from WAKU LODGE lobby´s camp
at 4:30 am. You are taken on vehicles up to the highest part
of the cascades on the Canaima lagoon, called UCAIMA PORT.
There you take a boat (“curiaras” style) and sail for about
20 minutes along CARRAO river to reach MAYUPA savanna. Here
you climb off and take the vehicles again and drive for 10
minutes more to reach the other side of the savanna and take
again the curiaras to proceed sailing for about one hour and
a half more approximately. During the journey you may be able to
see the AUYANTEPUY, it is the biggest mountain of the park
and also the oldest in the planet and where is located the
ANGEL FALLS. After one hour sailing approximately you
reach ISLA DE LAS ORQUIDEAS Camp. Here you take breakfast
and once you have finished you continue sailing for 15
minutes more along the CARRAO river until you reach and
join CHURUN river. You continue sailing in this river for
about 2 hours considering it’s a wriggly style river and has
several rapids and rocks, producing such a spectacle right
in the middle of the well known CAÑON DEL DIABLO. One hour before, if the weather allows
it, you can see the ANGEL FALLs as well as the majestic
offered by this mountain. Once journey through the river is
finished you arrive at base camp on ISLA RATON. From there
you get a panoramic view of the fall (if climate allows it).
A long walk is organized (optional) if
you wish to reach nearer the ANGEL FALLS. This long walk is
made through the middle of the jungle including a lot of
obstacles, such as rocks, mud, ascent and slopes and must of
all roots all around. It takes around one hour. You reach
MIRADOR LAIME where you stop and rest for a while, taking
pictures. Also there you can feel the drizzle produced by
the fall. There you may swim in the river and have a
wonderful lunch prepared by the natives. Once you are ready
to leave you return all the way back to the camp through
the same rivers until you reach SALTO DE SAPO , a fall
located at few minutes away from WAKU LODGE camp. This
fall has 20 mts heigh and 120 mts width and its main
attractiveness is to pass it through walking. You may bath
here and take pictures and afterwards you continue on boats
(curiara) all the way back to UCAIMA PORT , where you
started from the beginning the journey.

Tercer Day: Finished
the time of stop the return is made by the same one in route
to the camp to enjoy some bathrooms and of a spectacular
lunch surprise of the natives, it stops then finished
everything in this position is programmed the it flies for
the same rivers until the following position as it is it the
Jump of Toad, cascade that is to few minutes of the camp of
wakü lodge, this cascade poses a fall of 20 mts of height
and 120 mts of wide where the main attractiveness is to
cross the cascade through her culminated of making the
bathrooms and picture one returns to the craft to arrive to
the port ucaima where beginning was given to the trip. All the trips include bilingual tour
