Departure from Porlamar at 8 a.m.,
arrival to Kavac approximately at 10:00 a.m., after flying
over the Angel Falls.
Landing at Kavac Camp, located in
Kamarata Valley at the south of the Auyantepui. Once you
change clothes (bathing suit) and with a camera in the hand,
the trip begins with a walk by the savanna and into in the
forest, located at the skirt of the Auyantepui. Skirting up
the river, among stones, two stops are made at two jumps,
one is the Tawanaremba, where you can have the opportunity
to get a refreshing dip and the daring persons swim against
current, until the cascade. After enjoying this stop, you
will continue up the river until arriving to a small lagoon,
for those who wish they will be able to go across it
swimming and for those who do not, they will cross on a
native canoe denominated “Curiara”. When arriving to the
other side, one gets into an impressive crack that leads to
the Kavac Cave, where can take a bath at the foot of a 65
mts. high waterfall that comes from the Auyantepuy surface.
This whole journey has duration of two hours approximately.
Once the trip finishes one returns to the
camp to have a rich lunch.
The return take off Kavac-Porlamar is at
14:30 hours.
Observation:
The flight will be direct (PMV / KVC /
PMV) if the group is of 10 Passengers.
If the group is of 04 passengers, the
route will be Porlamar/Canaima/Kavac and return Kavac/Canaima/Porlamar
since with this number of passengers a CESSNA equipment is
used (5 seats light plane) for such a reason it is
obligatory a stop in Canaima to change equipment from
CESSNA to CARAVAN (12 to 14 seats airplane). |
